January 2011

So January has come and gone and it's time to see what we've been up to.

Josh started his internship with Eastern Idaho Public Health. He is also taking classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We have been very grateful that he didn't have to go to Oregon and that he could take classes. His last semester will only consist of 3classes and then it's off to graduation July 28th. We are so excited to be done with this part of schooling. He has been busy putting in applications for jobs lately and has been able to go fishing a time or two with his home teaching companion.

I've simply been just working, playing and teaching Ashlyn, and trying to survive through this pregnancy. It's been fun to feel this little girl move a lot more. I've been able to go down to only going to the chiropractor once a week. I have had to go to the doctor more this month but at least we are getting things taken care of and hopefully the antibiotics they gave me will help calm things down.

Ashlyn had her 2 year check-up at the end of the month. She is now 33 inches (2 ft 9in) and finally up to 25 lbs. I was so proud of her for not crying during her shot or blood work. We really debated having her lead screen done because it's an actual veniupuncture, but in the end we did it and she didn't even cry. I think it definitely helped that the phlembotimist talked to her the whole time and she was kind of fascinated watching it. She fussed a little afterwards but it was because she had a bandaid on and wanted it off. As soon as it came off she was as happy as could be. She's definetly loving life and so full of energy. Her talking is starting to come more but she's still stubborn and will only say something if she wants to. Two of her favorite things to do right now are skyping with her cousin, Ellie, and talking on the phone. She also loves her baby dolls-she feeds them, burps them, tries to put diapers on, and even will pat their backs and tell them that it's okay. It's so cute. Hopefully she'll want to be this loving to her little sister. Well to close this post I'll post a picture of Ashlyn. She saw me with the camera and started saying "cheese" so I couldn't resist taking pictures.

Christmas 2010

Bow Overload 12/2010

So one day I decided to clean up and try to organize her room to get a better idea of what I have in the sense of girl's items. She saw her bow bucket and I decided it couldn't hurt for her to play with it to help her stay preoccupied while I continued. She had other things in mind, when she started asking for every bow and headband on possible.

20 Week Pregnancy Photo

Well I decided it was finally time to post a pregnancy picture. I meant to take a picture the day we found out the baby's sex, but sometimes life gets busy as you all know.

First Time Finger Painting 12/2010

So I finally broke down and let Ashlyn try her hand at finger painting. I knew it would be messy but I also knew that she'd love it.

It's a Girl!

We found out we are having another girl! She looks great. We didn't get a good profile picture because every time she would turn it was towards the back of my spine. Also I'm unable to post ultrasound pics due to the fact that we can't find our software to scan images. So far we are thinking Emma or Brooklyn for names. If anyone wants to give suggestions let us know what you are thinking. It's fun to think about how similar and different she'll be from Ashlyn.

Halloween

So this was the first year that we took Ashlyn trick-or-treating.She went as a Pirate Princess. The night before we took her to Boo at the Zoo along with Josh's sister and her girls. Halloween night took her to our hometown trunk-or-treat and to the grandparents. She loved it! It was so cute, her pumpkin was so full that she was having trouble carrying it but refused to let us help her.

Family Addition

Baby #2 here you come! We are so excited to meet you and hear your little heartbeat in the next few weeks. You'll be a great addition and we will all love you! We'll take lots of pictures of the coming holidays and your big sister's b-day so that when you come you'll see what we were up to while you stayed cozy baking in my tummy.

Colorado Trip 2010

So the last few days Josh, Ashlyn, and I were able to spend time in Colorado. We helped Neil and Jess move all of their things to Neil's mothers. They treated us to Water World and the Butterfly Pavillion. Both were so much fun. We had so much fun and even have talked about going back to visit if they are still there. Thanks Jess and Neil for a great time and please tell your mother thank you to. Below are some pictures of our trip.
