Kaylee's 2-month appointment

Kaylee went in on Monday for her checkup. A big thank you to my sister Bree for watching Ashlyn while I took Kaylee in (Josh was in class). When I got to the doctor's office I tried giving her some motrin but she was so tired that she kind of spit it out and then went back to sleep. We first got her measured and weighed.

Stats:
weight 10 lbs 9 oz (50th percentile)
length 23 inches long (90th percentile)
head circumference 15.4 inches (75th percentile)

She is right on schedule and doing well. Let me tell you what, it's so nice not to have to worry about reflux, dry skin, and diaper rash issues this time around. She sleeps almost all through the night now and is generally a pretty chill little baby. The only thing we've really had to change with her is her drinking water. She didn't like the change in water when we moved so we are now using nursery water for her but I plan to start to transition her so that she'll drink the tap water here.

After the doctor examined her and answered my questions he sent the nurses in to give her shots. Poor little girl didn't know what was going to happen. There she was laying on the table contently sucking on her pacifier. They first gave her the oral vaccination which she downed like candy. Content after her so called treat and the company of her pacifier she looked like she was going to go back to sleep and that's when the nurses got her in both legs. I watched her there and thought her eyes were going to pop right out and then came the heart-wrenching cry. I felt so bad for her and wished I could have taken those darn shots for her. After I got her calmed down and in her carseat she fell asleep and slept most of the remainder of the day. Here is a picture of her after her shots.
